Well derby season is here again. I started work on fixing the Taurus. Removed the passenger bent strut and I will be replacing it with solid suspension Patched the hole in the transmission. This was just the start of the patch, now it is completely filled in. Once the struts are fixed then I can drive the car up onto the trailer and I will begin pulling the trunk up and in. Still need to fix the shifter and a few other minor things.

Its supposed to be the hardest substance napa sold. Its called metal filler and is resitant to oil and liquids. You apply it and it hardens, then you can sand it smooth if you want. I put tranny fluid in the car and the patch held while the car was running. I'll find out when I go back home May 1st if the patch held up over the last month sitting in the shop.

Yea I think this will be the last run for it, or at least i'm going to try to finish it off on the next run. I discovered that the engine blew a gasket and the oil and antifreeze are all mixed together now. The engine still runs fine, but its only a matter of time until it blows.
